Please join the Mile High Chapter Education committee at our monthly luncheon. Karlena Schwing of McKenna Long & Aldridge LLP will introduce eDiscovery and help us understand this behemoth. In recent years, knowledge about eDiscovery has spread, but a growing number of malpractice suits develop from discovery conflicts. In her presentation, Karlena will explain the ethical obligation for attorneys to understand eDiscovery – both technically and legally, and she will identify some of the technical nuances that can make this such a scary beast. Learn what questions to ask to help your firms identify potential eDiscovery issues before a case grows into a monster!

 Questions to be Answered:

  • What is eDiscovery?
  • How does eDiscovery change the practice of law?
  • Why are judges urging more attorneys to become well-versed in eDiscovery?
  • What can administrators do to help the firm face this challenge?

This session has been approved for 1 hour of CLM Recertification credit in Legal Industry/Business Management (LI). It can also be used towards the additional hours needed by Functional Specialists applying for the exam. However, it doesn’t qualify towards the general education requirements for the exam.

Ms. Schwing will join us at the Courtyard by Marriott in downtown Denver, 934 16th Street Mall, Denver, CO 80202.  Back by popular demand:  valet parking for those members outside of downtown Denver.  Please indicate in your registration if you will be using that service.

In an effort to thank our members for their continued loyalty to the Mile High Chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators, the Board has continued with the $10 member price for the monthly educational luncheons for the 2015-2016 Board Year! This reduction in price is for the educational lunches scheduled for 6/18/15; 8/20/15; 9/17/15; 10/15/15; 11/19/15; 1/21/16; 2/11/16; and 3/17/16.  The reduced price does not pertain to the Holiday Lunch in December.  The price for guests will remain at $35 per luncheon.

Our monthly educational sessions would not be possible without the generous support of our Business Partners.
