Please join the Mile High Chapter Education Committee at our monthly luncheon on Thursday, January 17, 2019 from 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. as Nachshon Zohari, LSCW Program Manager for the Denver Office of Behavioral Health Strategiews will present on "Behavioral Health in the Workplace."

Session Objectives:

  1. Teach how to recognize the symptoms of mental health, substance misuse, and other behavioral health issues
  2. Present a simple action plan that can be used to help individuals struggling with behavioral health issues
  3. Discuss how to engage someone in a conversation about their behavioral health
  4. Provide a list of local behavioral health services and supports and give guidance on how to access them

Over the past 20 years Nachshon Zohari has reached a broad spectrum of people in his work specializing in substances abuse, trauma, and mental health issues.  He started his career as a therapist at a substance abuse clinic in Salt Lake City, UT. In 2001, he moved to Denver to lead the Women and Family Program at Denver Health’s Outpatient Behavioral Health Services.  In 2006, he became the Program Administrator for Mental Health and Substance Abuse Treatment for the Denver Department of Human Services, Child Welfare Division, where he was especially proud of his work developing and implementing Denver EFFECT - a collaborative, family-focused substance abuse program that views the family as the client rather than just the individual; implementing the Trauma Informed Practice (TIP) initiative; and creating effective collaborative partnerships with other community systems. Nachshon is currently a Program Manager for the Denver Office of Behavioral Health Strategies, where he trains on trauma and mental health issues while leading outreach efforts designed to create resiliency and good behavioral health in the community.

Mr. Zohari will join us at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Denver Downtown Convention Center, 1420 Stout Street, Denver, Colorado, 80202.  The Board has agreed to continue with valet parking for those members outside of downtown Denver.  Please indicate in your registration if you will be using that service.
