Please join the Mile High Chapter of ALA Education Committee at our monthly luncheon on Thursday, November 18, 2021, at the Wells Fargo Building, Assembly Conference Room, Lower Level 2, 1700 Lincoln Street.  Lauren Schwartz, Director, Investor Relations, Colorado Chamber of Commerce will present A look back at legislation that affects businesses in Colorado, and a preview of what’s to come

Registration will open at 11:15 a.m., announcements will begin at 11:50 a.m. and the presentation will start at 12:00 p.m.

Lauren Schwartz is an award-winning community relations and nonprofit leader who serves as the Director of Investor Relations for the Colorado Chamber. She works with members to ensure that they are engaged in the Chamber’s work in ways that are meaningful to them by keeping them informed on policy that will affect their business, and by providing members the opportunity to connect with business leaders, lawmakers and key influencers so that the voice of the business community is heard at both the state capitol and the federal level.

Lauren serves as the Chamber’s liaison and board member for the Association for Colorado Chamber of Commerce (ACCC), and she leads the Chamber’s DEI programs offered in partnership with Colorado REACH (Respecting Ethnic and Cultural History). 

Outside of work, Lauren volunteers her time with organizations that have special meaning to her. She is past president of the board for Susan G. Komen Colorado, and she currently serves as president of the board for the Colorado Mountain Club Foundation. Lauren is married and is a stepmom to three amazing young adults.

Lauren holds two Bachelor’s degrees from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master’s degree from the University of Denver.

A virtual/Zoom option will be available for those who are not comfortable in a group setting.  For those attending in-person boxed lunches will be prepared by Y.Lo Epicure Catering.  Parking is available for those members outside of downtown Denver in the parking garage located at 17th and Sherman.  Please indicate in your registration if you will be parking in the garage.

This program has been approved for the following re-certification credits:

CLM Application Credit for Functional Specialists:  1.0 hour in the subject area of Human Resources Management toward the additional hours required of some Functional Specialists to fulfill the CLM application requirements.
CLM Recertification Credit:  1.0 hour in the subject area of Human Resources Management.

   

This program is valid for 1.0 PDCs toward SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP recertification.

    

This Program has been approved for 1.00  General HR recertification credit hour toward aPHR™, aPHRi™, PHR®, PHRca®, SPHR®, GPHR®, PHRi™ and SPHRi™recertification through HR Certification Institute® (HRCI®)
