Please join the Mile High Chapter Education Committee at our monthly luncheon on Thursday, March 16th when Stephen (Pete) Peterson will present on Financial Management for Non-Financial Administrators. During this lunch, we will have photographer Paul Hartmann set up to do complimentary headshots for our members before and after the lunch, from 11:15 am until 2:00 pm. We will be giving away a scholarship to the MHC ALA Spring Conference & Mini-Expo. Must be present in-person to win.
This session will provide you with a basic understanding of the significant drivers of law firm finance and profitability. In addition, we will review key financial statements and how these statements are linked to each other. Topics and learning objectives include:
- Determining the 5 key financial indicators for your firm and related KPIs.
- The monthly financial reports you should be providing.
- How to create a meaning budget.
- Learn the difference between profits and partner compensation.
- Why it’s important to maintain adequate capital.
- Learn about the minimum internal controls for your firm.
- The identity of the presenter’s famous neighbors.
