Please join the Mile High Chapter Education Committee at our monthly luncheon.  Nanette Bowles, Ed.D. of Life Quest Training & Consulting will present on communicating with clients with disabilities.  This luncheon is approved for 1 hour of credit in Communication & Organizational Management (CM) for CLM Recertification and 1 hour of CLM application credit in Communication Skills. Dr. Bowles will provide an overview of politically correct terminology, gives practical tips of how to work most effectively with almost anyone and even teaches us a few words in sign language.  She will further discuss the following learning objectives:

• Identify disability-related politically correct terminology;
• Demonstrate effective methods for communicating with people with disabilities;
• Participate in disability simulations; and
• Summarize learning into practical tips

Dr. Bowles will join us at The Courtyard by Marriott in downtown Denver.  934 16th Street Mall, Denver, CO 80202.  The Chapter will also be providing complimentary valet parking for our members outside of downtown Denver.  Please indicate your need for valet parking with your registration and let the valet know you are with ALA when you park.

In an effort to thank our members for their continued loyalty to the Mile High Chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators, the Board has lowered the price of the monthly educational luncheons from $30 to ONLY $10 per lunch for the 2014-2015 Board Year! This reduction in price is for the educational lunches scheduled for 6/19/14, 8/21/14, 9/18/14, 10/16/14, 11/20/14, 1/22/15, 2/19/15 and 3/19/15.  The reduced price does not pertain to the Holiday Lunch in December.  The price for guests will remain at $35 per luncheon.
