Please join the Mile High Chapter Education Committee at our monthly luncheon. Jeff Mitchem from CPR Safe-a-Life will present a CPR Certification/Recertification program. This session has been approved for 1 hour of recertification under Operations Management (OM) credit for CLM recertification.

Jeff Mitchem is a firefighter with 26 years of experience and an expert in CPR. He will be teaching life-saving tools that can be used on adults, children, and infants in the event that they have stopped breathing, suffered a cardiac arrest, or if they are choking. In this regard, he will be discussing the use of CPR, an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) to shock the heart, and a Foreign Body Airway Obstruction (FBAO) to clear the airway. This class is interactive, thorough, and focused on how to keep calm and confident with these three techniques when encountering a life threatening situation. Statistically, there are an average of 250,000 cardiac arrests per year and the odds are high that everyone will be faced with one or more of these situations within their lifetimes. Participants in this class will gain the knowledge and ability to have a hand in saving the life of a family member, co-worker, or friend as these are the people we are most commonly around.

Mr. Mitchem will join us at the Courtyard by Marriott in downtown Denver, 934 16th Street Mall, Denver, CO 80202.  The Chapter will also provide complimentary valet parking for those members outside of downtown Denver.  Please indicate in your registration if you will be using that service.

In an effort to thank our members for their continued loyalty to the Mile High Chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators, the Board has lowered the price of the monthly educational luncheons from $30 to ONLY $10 per lunch for the 2014-2015 Board Year! This reduction in price is for the educational lunches scheduled for 9/16/14, 10/16/14, 11/20/14, 1/22/15, 2/12/15 and 3/19/15.  The reduced price does not pertain to the Holiday Lunch in December.  The price for guests will remain at $35 per luncheon.
